The following is recent police activity in Oceana County:

Wednesday, March 27, 2024:

  • 10:29 a.m., (Oceana County Sheriff’s Office), a cell phone was reported stolen and later recovered, 2500 block of West Winston Road, Grant Township.
  • 12:33 p.m., (OCSO), deputies were following up on a sex offender registration violation when the suspect, who is a 70-year-old Hart man, suffered a medical emergency and was transported to Muskegon for medical treatment. The case is being turned over to the Oceana County Prosecutor’s Office. The incident occurred on West Polk Road near 100th Avenue in Hart Township.

Thursday, March 28, 2024:

  • 2:35 a.m., (Michigan State Police), a 41-year-old Hart man was cited for driving without a license, North State Street near East Main Street, City of Hart.
  • 8 a.m., (MSP), a 19-year-old Hart woman was cited for operating without insurance, Polk Road near US 31, City of Hart.

Saturday, March 30, 2024:

  • 2:10 a.m., (OCSO), a 19-year-old Holland man was arrested for operating while intoxicated and cited for minor in possession (MIP) of alcohol, 500 block of North Lighthouse Drive, Golden Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail. Two passengers — a 19-year-old Holland man and a 20-year-old Holland man — were cited for MIP.

Sunday, March 31, 2024:

  • 9:30 a.m., (OCSO), a 35-year-old Hesperia man was cited for driving while license suspended (DWLS), 4100 block of Riverview Drive, Newfield Township.
  • 9:58 a.m., (OCSO), a 37-year-old Walkerville man was arrested for second-offense DWLS, and a 30-year-old Walkerville woman was cited for allowing a suspended person to operate, West Main Street, Village of Walkerville. The male suspect was lodged in the Oceana County Jail and faces a charge of methamphetamine possession pending crime lab results of the substance.
  • 3 p.m., (OCSO), a 47-year-old Hesperia man was arrested on an outstanding warrant, West Winston Road, Grant Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail and faces a charge of heroin possession pending crime lab results of the substance.

Monday, April 1, 2024:

  • 12:39 p.m., (OCSO), vehicle crash, minor injury, Silver Lake Sand Dunes, Golden Township.

Tuesday, April 2, 2024:

  • 10:56 a.m., (OCSO), larceny of money via a wire transfer transaction, 3400 block of North 72nd Avenue, Hart Township.
