Roberto Villegas

Roberto Rosas Villegas, 51, of Hart, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, passing onto the heavenly kingdom on Monday, March 18, 2024 while in Mexico. He was born October 15, 1972, in Caracheo, Guanajuato, Mexico, the son of Antonio Rosas Nieto and Celia Villegas Galvan.

As an older child, Roberto was a strength for the family when moving to the U.S. from Mexico, able to assist his parents with maintaining the household and family.

Roberto enjoyed the simple things in life, such as playing soccer with his brothers in youth, going to the beach, grilling with friends and family, traveling to his hometown in Mexico, and listening to his favorite music, Spanish rock. He also had a love for learning new things and was always studying something new. Roberto was also very handy, and worked on many projects around the house.

Roberto is survived by: his children, Jobany Rosas-Alonso and Nereyda Rosas; father, Antonio, Sr.; mother, Celia; siblings, Antonio, Jr., Alonso, José Ramon (Maria), Isabel (Roman), and Maria del Rosario; and nieces and nephews, Marc, Sebastian, Moncerrad, Ramon, Iker, Citlali, Arantza, and Gael.

Roberto was preceded in death by: his paternal grandparents, Sebastian and Maria del Rosario; maternal grandparents, José and Isabel; brother, José Rosas Villegas; and sister-in-law, Claudia.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 6, 2024, at St. Gregory Catholic Church, 214 South Peach Avenue, Hart. Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m., Friday, April 5, 2024, at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, King-Hart Chapel, 2370 North 72nd Avenue, Hart, with a praying of the Holy Rosary beginning at 6 p.m., and a luncheon immediately after the Holy Rosary.
