The following is police activity in Oceana County over the weekend:

Thursday, Feb. 29, 2024:

  • 10:22 a.m., (Michigan State Police), a 20-year-old Hart man was cited for driving while license suspended (DWLS) and operating without insurance, Oceana Drive near Clay Road, Grant Township.
  • 5:51 p.m., (MSP), a 45-year-old Montague man was arrested for domestic violence, 8000 block of South Robinhood Drive, Grant Township.

Friday, March 1, 2024:

  • 1:50 p.m., (Oceana County Sheriff’s Office and MSP), a 36-year-old Muskegon man was charged by OCSO with assaulting/resisting/obstructing police and disorderly person, Double JJ Resort, Water Road, Village of Rothbury. He was charged by MSP with a second count of assaulting/resisting/obstructing police. A 37-year-old Muskegon woman was charged by MSP with two counts of assaulting/resisting/obstructing police.
  • 10:21 p.m., (OCSO), a 44-year-old Holton man was arrested for parole violation and open intoxicants, and a 44-year-old Remus man was arrested for operating without insurance and open intoxicants, M 20 near 136th Avenue, Ferry Township.

Saturday, March 2, 2024:

  • 10:39 a.m., (MSP), a 20-year-old Hart man was arrested for domestic violence, 4000 block of 68th Avenue, Hart Township.
  • 9:51 p.m., (OCSO), a 37-year-old Walkerville man was cited for second-offense DWLS, 176th Avenue near Harrison Road, Village of Walkerville.

Sunday, March 3, 2024:

  • 9:06 a.m., (OCSO) larceny of a Huffy bicycle and scrap metal, 4100 block of North Oceana Drive, Hart Township.
  • 3:47 p.m., (OCSO), breaking and entering, 7000 block of North Hilltop Court, Pentwater Township.
  • 6:41 p.m., (OCSO), a 30-year-old Shelby man was cited for DWLS and operating without insurance, South Michigan Avenue, Village of Shelby.
  • 11 p.m., (OCSO), malicious destruction of property, South Sagola Trail, Lake Tahoe, Grant Township. A driveway and yard were damaged.
