Trump nearly triples Biden votes in Oceana County primary
HART — Republican candidate Donald Trump gained the most votes by a large margin among Oceana County voters in the Michigan primary election Tuesday, Feb. 27, according to unofficial results from the Oceana County Clerk’s Office.
Out of 4,081 Republican votes cast, Trump totaled 2,976, with Nikki Haley gaining 909. President Joe Biden gained 1,046 votes out of 1,223 Democratic votes cast in Oceana County.
Trump gained more votes than Biden in all 18 precincts.
Three millage renewal requests passed in Crystal Township. Fire operations received 86 yes votes and 23 no votes; fire equipment passed 85-22; and road improvements passed 82-27.
Out of 5,334 total votes cast in Oceana County, 199 were done at the early voting site at the courthouse.
Results are not official until they have been certified by the Oceana County Board of Canvassers.
