Fire destroys garage
NEWFIELD TOWNSHIP — Fire destroyed a garage on East Parketon Lane Saturday, Feb. 24.
Area fire departments were dispatched to the blaze around noon. “On arrival, we found smoke and flames showing in the garage,” states a post on the Hesperia Area Fire Department’s Facebook page. “We were able to extinguish the fire with little fire damage to the house. The garage is a total loss.”
Hesperia firefighters were assisted by Ferry Township Fire Department, Grant Township Fire Department, Fremont Fire Department, White Cloud Area Fire-Rescue, Life EMS, Mason-Oceana 911 and Newaygo 911.
