Drunk driving, assault arrests top sheriff’s office activity

The following is recent activity of the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office:

Friday, Feb. 16, 2024:

  • 5:10 p.m., a 63-year-old Holton man was arrested for operating while intoxicated, East Park Road, Otto Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
  • 10 p.m., a 60-year-old Muskegon woman was arrested for operating while intoxicated, Skeels Road and 168th Avenue, Greenwood Township. She was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.

Sunday, Feb. 18, 2024:

  • 2:28 a.m., a 58-year-old Mears man was arrested for operating while intoxicated, US 31 and Hammett Road, Pentwater Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
  • 9:44 p.m., a 33-year-old Hart man was arrested for aggravated domestic assault and probation violation, 2700 block of North 128th Avenue, Elbridge Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
  • 11:02 p.m., a 19-year-old Hart man was arrested for probation violation, 1100 block of North 116th Avenue, Elbridge Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail. A report will be forwarded to the Oceana County Prosecutor’s Office seeking a charge of domestic assault.
  • 11:26 p.m., a 43-year-old Rothbury man was arrested for aggravated assault, 2300 block of West Cleveland Road, Grant Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.

Monday, Feb. 19, 2024:

  • 10:40 a.m., a 29-year-old Muskegon man was cited for driving while license suspended, US 31 near Oceana Drive, Weare Township. 

Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2024:

  • 9:23 p.m., a 51-year-old Mears man was cited for driving while license revoked, 72nd Avenue and Scout Road, Hart Township.

Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2024:

  • 4:25 p.m., a 41-year-old Muskegon man was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon, second-offense driving while license suspended, open intoxicants and operating without insurance, South Maple Island Road, Greenwood Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.

Thursday, Feb. 22, 2024:

  • 9:06 a.m., larceny of a trail camera valued at $75, 3500 block of South 204th Avenue, Newfield Township.

Friday, Feb. 23, 2024:

  • 10:38 a.m., a 45-year-old Hart woman was arrested for domestic violence, West Lake Road, Hart Township. She was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
