Hart woman sentenced to prison for drug delivery
HART — A 34-year-old Hart woman was sentenced to two to 20 years in prison in Oceana County’s 51st Circuit Court, Jan. 29, for five felony drug delivery convictions.
Marjorie Janelle Walt, of 2255 Young Rd., pleaded guilty, Dec. 20, 2023 to two counts of delivery/manufacture of methamphetamine and three counts of delivery/manufacture of cocaine/heroin or another narcotic.
Walt was charged with eight felony drug delivery counts initially. Two counts of delivery/manufacture of cocaine/heroin or another narcotic and one count of delivery/manufacture of methamphetamine were dismissed.
“She sold to an undercover officer on more than one occasion,” said Oceana County Prosecutor Joseph Bizon. “The transactions occurred in Shelby Township, Hart Township and Pentwater Township. She made multiple deliveries of multiple substances.”
She received credit for 57 days served in jail.
