51st Circuit Court sentencings, posted Feb. 5, 2024

HART — The following were sentenced recently in Oceana County’s 51st Circuit Court:

Skofic

Bradley James Skofic, Sr., 46, of 3110 W. Tahoe Trl., New Era, pleaded “no contest” Nov. 27, 2023 to fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct and was sentenced Jan. 29, 2024 to 136 days in jail

Boyette

with credit for 136 days served; five years probation; and $398 in fines and costs.

Phillip Arthur Boyette, Jr., 39, of 104 Michigan Ave., Shelby, pleaded guilty Dec. 11, 2023 to assaulting/resisting/obstructing police and was sentenced Jan. 29, 2024 to five months in jail; 18 months probation; and $398 in fines and costs. In another case, Boyette pleaded guilty Dec. 11, 2023 to methamphetamine possession and was sentenced Jan. 29, 2024 to a concurrent term of five months in jail; 18 months probation; and $398 in fines and costs. 

Jeffrey Charles Richards, 58, of 2332 Torrent St., Muskegon, pleaded guilty Aug. 8, 2023 to third-offense operating while intoxicated and was sentenced Feb. 5, 2024 to 30 days in jail with credit for six days served; two years probation; and $1,108 in fines and costs. One count of open intoxicants was dismissed.

Valerie Ann Monroe, 46, of 7789 S. 100th Ave., Rothbury, pleaded guilty Dec. 4, 2023 to larceny in a building and was sentenced Feb. 5, 2024 to one day in jail with credit for one day served; one year probation; and $469 in fines, costs and restitution.

Richards

Alberto Fontaine Zertuche, 41, of 3752 W. VanBuren Rd., Hart, pleaded guilty Nov. 27, 2023 to two counts of fourth-degree fleeing a police officer and was sentenced Jan. 29, 2024 to two months in jail with credit for 27 days served; one year probation; and $216 in fines and costs. One count of receiving and concealing stolen property was dismissed.

Zachary Lee Hackney, 31, of 104 S. Apple St., Hart, pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine, heroin or another narcotic and was sentenced Jan. 29, 2024 to 30 days in jail with credit for two

Monroe

days served; 18 months probation; and $548 in fines and costs. 

Leandro Alaniz, 51, of 710 Darlene St., Fremont, pleaded guilty Dec. 11, 2023 to unlawful driving away of an automobile (car theft) and was sentenced Jan. 29, 2023 to nine months in jail with credit for 86 days served and $308 in fines and costs. One count of larceny $1,000-$20,000 was dismissed.
