The following is recent police activity in Oceana County:

Monday, Jan. 22, 2024:

  • 1:13 p.m., (Oceana County Sheriff’s Office), threats complaint, 7500 South Michigan Avenue, Village of Rothbury. A woman received a Snapchat message asking her to send photos of her feet. When she refused, messages were sent that included threats of coming to her home with weapons.
  • 3:52 p.m., (OCSO), a 47-year-old Walkerville man was arrested for felonious assault following a domestic incident involving strangulation, 6000 block of East Filmore Road, Leavitt Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
  • 11:25 p.m., (OCSO), a 47-year-old Hart man was arrested for operating without a license, and a 59-year-old Hart woman is suspected of drug possession, Melody Lane, Hart Township. A drug possession charge is pending lab analysis of the confiscated substance. The man was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.

Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2024:

  • 2:35 p.m., (OCSO), a 58-year-old Montague woman was arrested for operating while intoxicated, Winston Road, Grant Township. She was lodged in the Oceana County Jail. 
  • 7:50 p.m., (Michigan State Police), a 41-year-old Hart woman was arrested on a warrant, 1000 block of 100th Avenue, Hart Township.
  • 8:46 p.m., (OCSO), a 65-year-old Shelby man was cited for second-offense driving while license revoked, Division Street, Village of Hesperia.

Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2024:

  • 3:05 a.m., (OCSO), a 31-year-old Muskegon man was cited for driving while license suspended (DWLS) and driving without insurance, State Street near Maple Street, Village of Hesperia. A drug possession charge is pending lab analysis of the confiscated substance.
  • 10:51 a.m., (OCSO), a 33-year-old Wyoming, Michigan man was arrested on outstanding warrants, 6200 block of Oceana Drive, Grant Township. The man was also cited for DWLS, bond violation and driving without insurance. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.

Friday, Jan. 26, 2024:

  • 6:20 p.m., (MSP), a 20-year-old Shelby man was cited for DWLS, Baseline Road near Oceana Drive, Hart Township.

Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024:

  • 12:41 a.m., (OCSO), a 27-year-old Pentwater man was arrested for operating while intoxicated, West Washington Road, Weare Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
  • 1:56 p.m., (OCSO), breaking and entering, 3000 block of South Leelanau Circle, Lake Tahoe subdivision, Grant Township. A mobile home’s window valued at $350 was broken, and evidence indicated that someone may have been squatting in the home. 

Sunday, Jan. 28, 2024:

  • 9 p.m., (OCSO), home invasion, 3200 block of North 72nd Avenue, Pines Mobile Home Park, Hart Township. A male suspect allegedly kicked in a door and assaulted people, but left the scene before deputies’ arrival.

Monday, Jan. 29, 2024:

  • 9:58 a.m., (OCSO), retail fraud, South 184th Avenue, Leavitt Township.
