Shelby Township consolidates voting precincts
SHELBY TOWNSHIP — Shelby Township will combine voting precincts 1 and 2 for the 2024 election year.
“Due to all the changes in the voting laws from Proposal 2-22, it is in the best interest of Shelby Township voters to have a combined precinct,” states a press release from the township. “We will have all voters come to our township hall located at 204 N. Michigan Ave. in Shelby to cast their votes.
“Other voting options are absentee voter ballots by mail and the nine-day early voting which will take place at the county courthouse in Hart for the nine days prior to the election. All precinct 2 residents affected by the change have been sent new voter ID cards. If you haven’t received your new card, please call our office and we will be happy to send you a new one.
