Winter weather advisory extended until 1 p.m. Tuesday

The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids extended a winter weather advisory until 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16.

Oceana, Muskegon, Ottawa and Allegan counties are included in the advisory area.

Expect more lake effect snow with additional snow accumulations of 1-3 inches. “Arctic air will result in wind chills in the -10 to -20 degree range Tuesday and Wednesday mornings,” states NWS. “Lake effect snow showers are likely much of the week. Additional accumulating snow and travel impacts are possible, especially along the lakeshore.”
