Obituary: Stanley Rokita, 70, of Pentwater

Stanley Joseph Rokita, 70, of Pentwater, formerly of the Detroit area, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2024.

Stan was born on April 25, 1953, the son of the late Stanley William and Mary K. (Salata) Rokita. He attended Nativity High School. On May 28, 1988, Stan married Janice Kay (Becker) Rokita. He was employed at Total Energy Systems as a salesman, retiring in 2021.

In his free time, Stan enjoyed various hobbies. He loved putzing around, indulging in woodworking projects, and found fulfillment in coaching his children’s sports teams. Stan also had a passion for traveling and exploring new places.

Stan is survived by his wife, Janice Rokita; daughters, Traice (Brent) Leaper and Camille (Douglas) Shepherd; son, Maxim Rokita; granddaughter, Tenley Jo Leaper; brother, John Rokita; and sister Rosemary Rokita.

Stan was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Mary Rokita; brothers, Anthony and Richard Rokita.

A Funeral Service will take place on Monday, January 15, 2024, at the United Methodist Church of Ludington, 5810 E. Bryant Road, Pere Marquette Township at 11 a.m. Visitation will be held before the service from 10 to 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to Pentwater Artisan Learning Center or Capuchin Soup Kitchen of Detroit.

A celebration of life will also be held in the summer at a date to be determined.
