HAMLIN TOWNSHIP (Mason County) — A Winter Book Walk will be held on Saturday, Jan. 20 between 6 to 8 p.m. at the Ludington State Park. The event, coordinated by the West Shore Educational Service District’s Mason-Lake-Oceana Great Start Collaborative, is being held in conjunction with the Friends of the Ludington State Park lantern-lit hike/snowshoe/ski event.
Panels featuring the book “Mister Rabbit’s Wish” by Colleen Monroe will be placed along the one-mile walking path. Warm, free beverages and a bonfire will be available at the state park amphitheater where participants can meet Michael Glenn Monroe, the book’s illustrator. The first 100 families with children will receive a free copy of the book along with Talking is Teaching resources.
