HART — State Sen. Jon Bumstead and State Rep. Curt VanderWall visited Hart High School Monday, Jan. 8, to present a state tribute to state champion Jessica Jazwinski.
The Pirate junior is two-time state champion and two-time All American in cross country.
Jazwinski also earned a state championship in track last season in the 3,200-meter run and added a runner-up finish in the 1,600 run; third-place finish in the 800 run; and anchored the 3,200 relay team that finished fourth.
She has committed to continuing her cross country, track, and academic pursuits at Division 1 North Carolina State University.
Her younger brother Bobby, who is a Pirate freshman, finished third in the state cross country finals last fall.
