Police seek info to find culprit(s) who broke into hunting cabin
OTTO TOWNSHIP — The Oceana County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a breaking and entering of a hunting cabin and storage unit on 128th Avenue near McKinley Road that was reported Sunday, Dec. 31, according to Oceana County Sheriff Craig Mast.
The culprit or culprits forced open a porch door to gain access to the cabin.
Items stolen include: a Honda generator with serial number EU2200 valued at $1,200; a Husqvarna 435 chainsaw valued at $400; a toolbox with a circular saw and DeWalt impact drill valued at $400; four 5-gallon gas cans valued at $100; a 100-gallon propane tank valued at $400; and four trail cameras valued at $250.
Police are asking if anyone has any information about this crime to contact the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office at (231) 873-2121.
