The following is recent police activity in Oceana County:

Friday, Dec. 29, 2023:

• 1:23 a.m., (Michigan State Police), a 24-year-old Montague man was arrested for operating while intoxicated (OWI), 72nd Avenue and Webster Road, Grant Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
• 12:53 p.m., (Oceana County Sheriff’s Office), domestic assault, no arrest, 6200 block of East Rossell Lake Road, Colfax Township.

Saturday, Dec. 30, 2023:

• 9:34 a.m., (OCSO), 33-year-old Fremont man was cited for driving while license suspended (DWLS), M 20, Village of Hesperia.
• 7:50 p.m., (OCSO), a 23-year-old Hesperia man was arrested for OWI following a crash, South 192nd Avenue near Arthur Road, Greenwood Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
• 10:04 p.m., (OCSO), a 33-year-old Hart man was arrested on a failure to appear warrant, and a 30-year-old Hart man was cited for DWLS, Maple Island Road near Arthur Road, Greenwood Township. 

Sunday, Dec. 31, 2023:

• 5:47 a.m., a 22-year-old Shelby man was arrested for OWI, South Oceana Drive near Buchanan Road, Shelby Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.

Monday, Jan. 1, 2024:

• 9:04 a.m., (OCSO), a felony two-count warrant for aggravated assault involving two victims was authorized for a 24-year-old Hesperia man, North Maple Island Road, Colfax Township. Charges against a 41-year-old Hesperia man are pending review by the Oceana County Prosecutor’s Office.

Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2024:

• 3:32 a.m., (OCSO), a 54-year-old Walkerville woman was cited for driving while license revoked, East Jackson Road near 192nd Avenue, Colfax Township.
• 8:49 p.m., (OCSO), retail fraud, Dollar General, Village of New Era. Food items valued at approximately $60 were stolen.
