51st Circuit Court sentencings, posted Dec. 28, 2023

HART — The following were sentenced recently in Oceana County’s 51st Circuit Court:

Bush

Colin Ray Bush, 39, pleaded guilty Nov. 6, 2023 to assault with a dangerous weapon and domestic violence and was sentenced Dec. 11, 2023 to six months in jail with credit for 82 days served;

Adams

18 months probation; and $673 in fines and costs.

Carl Quintae Adams, 27, pleaded guilty May 1, 2023 to two counts of controlled substance delivery/manufacture — cocaine, heroin or another substance and was sentenced Dec. 18, 2023 to 10 months in jail with credit for 52 days served and $266 in fines and costs. One count of controlled substance delivery/manufacture — cocaine, heroin or another substance was dismissed.

Jeffrey Lovell Brown, 56, pleaded “no contest” Oct. 24, 2023 to assaulting/resisting/obstructing police and was sentenced Dec. 18, 2023 to 48 days in jail with credit for 48 days served; one year probation; and $458 in fines and costs.

Severo Antonio Valles, 29, pleaded guilty Nov. 6, 2023 to controlled substance — delivery/manufacture of a schedule 1-3 drug and was sentenced Dec. 18, 2023 to one day in jail with credit for one day served; one year probation; and $658 in fines and costs. One count of controlled substance — delivery/manufacture of methamphetamine/ecstasy was dismissed.

Brown

Selena Marie Clough, 25, pleaded guilty Nov. 6, 2023 to controlled substance — delivery/manufacture of a schedule 1-3 drug and was sentenced Dec. 18, 2023 to one day in jail with credit for one day served; one year probation; and $658 in fines and costs. One count of controlled substance — delivery/manufacture of methamphetamine/ecstasy was dismissed.

Valles

Patrick Wayne Mengel, 43, pleaded guilty Oct. 23, 2023 to stealing/retaining a financial transaction device without consent and was sentenced Dec. 18, 2023 to two days in jail with credit for two days served; one year probation; $204.26 in restitution; and $458 in fines and costs.
