79th District Court sentencings, posted Dec. 21, 2023

HART — The following were sentenced recently in Oceana County’s 79th District Court:

• Nicholas Thomas Gale, 32, of 121 S. Winter St., Hesperia, pleaded guilty Dec. 7 to fraudulent use of a public utility under $500 and was sentenced to $2,100 in restitution. One felony count of fraudulent use of a public utility over $500 was dismissed.
• James Andrew Herrygers, 60, of 2861 W. Polk Rd., Hart, pleaded guilty Dec. 12 to operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; Alcohol Highway Safety Education; Victim Impact Panel; and $1,155 in fines and costs.
• Brandon Ray Dickenson, 21, of 16 E. Lever Rd., Hart, pleaded guilty Dec. 19 to alcohol — open container and was sentenced to $300 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).
• Leobardo Ezequiel-Perez, 36, of 144 E. 96th St., Newaygo, pleaded guilty Dec. 13 to operating without a license and was sentenced to $300 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
• Brittany Lynn Shingler, 27, of 2948 W. Tahoe Trail, New Era, pleaded guilty Dec. 11 to possession of open intoxicants by a passenger and was sentenced to $350 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
• Joshua J. Lovins, 40, of 11056 Summerbrook, Allendale, pleaded guilty Dec. 11 to disturbing the peace and was sentenced to $450 in fines and costs.
• Roberto Ramirez, 23, of 41 Ferry St., Shelby, pleaded guilty Dec. 11 to operating without a license and was sentenced to $125 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
• Robert Charles Brown, 38, of 429 S. Water St., Hart, pleaded guilty Dec. 7 to operating without a license and was sentenced to $350 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
• James Thomas Noffke, 75, of Pentwater (street address unavailable), pleaded guilty Dec. 5 to attempted larceny less than $200 and was sentenced to three months probation and $250 in fines and costs. 
• Roy James Alltop, 52, of 3241 N. 72nd Ave., Hart, pleaded guilty Dec. 5 to second-offense DWLS and was sentenced to $400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
• Ashley Lynn Hornacek, 37, of 6704 Virnetta Dr., Ludington, pleaded guilty Dec. 7 to open intoxicants by a passenger and was sentenced to $350 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

Dismissal

• John Jeremy Dennis, 46, of 3204 Holton Rd., Muskegon, one felony count of assault with a dangerous weapon was dismissed Dec. 12.
