Obituary: Alfred Bouda, 87, of Pentwater

Alfred “Al” Loren Bouda, 87, of Pentwater, formerly of Royal Oak, passed away at home on Monday December 11, 2023. Al was born December 15, 1935, the son of Fredrick and Zella (Fuller) Bouda.

Al was a graduate from Royal Oak High School and went on to attend Tri-State University, earning a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering. He worked for General Dynamics as a logistic project engineer until his retirement in 2002. Al served proudly in the United States Air Force. On May 9, 1958, Al married the love of his life, Gloria Jean (Preston) Bouda.

Al was a member of United Methodist Church of Ludington. He enjoyed reading in his free time and remote controlled airplanes.

Al is survived by his wife, Gloria Jean; sons, Christopher (Lisa), Layne (Shawn), and Jon (Jennifer); grandsons, Fisher, and Justin (Jessica); great-grandsons, Patrick, and Connor; and sister, Barbara (Bouda) Browne.

A memorial service will take place on Tuesday December 19, 2023, at 11 a.m. at United Methodist Church of Ludington in Pere Marquette Township.
