79th District Court sentencings, posted Dec. 5, 2023

HART — The following were sentenced recently in Oceana County’s 79th District Court:

• Tamera Ann Race, 54, of 373 Elm St. Shelby, pleaded guilty Nov. 28, 2023 to second-offense operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); Victim Impact Panel; and $1,155 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).
• Andrea Lizbeth Avilez, 20, of 430 Harvey St., Shelby, pleaded guilty Nov. 14, 2023 to operating while impaired and was sentenced to two days suspended jail with credit for two days served; AHSE; Victim Impact Panel; and $1,055 in fines and costs. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed. Conviction reportable to SOS.
• Jermaine Devonne Demyers, 32, of Muskegon Heights (street address unavailable), pleaded guilty Dec. 4, 2023 to driving while license suspended (DWLS) and was sentenced to $400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
• Kimberly Lee Dean, 49, of 417 S. State St., Shelby, pleaded guilty Nov. 14, 2023 to malicious telecommunications use and was sentenced to $400 in fines and costs.
• Leandro Borrego, 44, of 354 Pine St., Shelby, pleaded guilty Dec. 4 to DWLS and was sentenced to $400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
• James Wesley Burns V, 31, of 3392 Skeels Rd., Holton, pleaded guilty Nov. 15, 2023 to DWLS and was sentenced to $100 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
• Hunter Matthew Thon, 23, of 6344 S. Croton Hardy Dr., Newaygo, pleaded guilty to operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to one day suspended jail with credit for one day served; AHSE; Victim Impact Panel; and $1,155 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
• Rachel Jade Tanner, 39, of 103 S. Courtland St., Hart, pleaded guilty Nov. 21 to larceny $200-$1,000 and was sentenced to two days suspended jail with credit for two days served; $304 in restitution; and $500 in fines and costs. One count of illegal sale/use of a financial transaction device was dismissed.
• Jesse Grant Cole, 45, of 4763 N. 176th Ave., Walkerville, pleaded guilty Nov. 21 to DWLS and was sentenced to $400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

Dismissals

• Timothy Joseph Bowcamp, 54, of 1092 E. US 10, Scottville; one count of reckless driving was dismissed Nov. 16, 2023.
• Dillan James Woodring, 20, of 5189 Dalson Rd., Twin Lake; one count of open intoxicants was dismissed Nov. 8.
