Hart Baptist hosts live nativity Dec. 15 and 16

HART — First Baptist Church of Hart invites the community to its Christmas season events, kicking off with a live nativity Friday, Dec. 15, and Saturday, Dec. 16, from 6-8 p.m. at the Hart Commons.

The event, called “The Nativity Experience” offers an opportunity for community members to celebrate the season in a unique way. It will feature characters in costume, animals, songs of the season, and more. “A great place to pause from the hustle and bustle of the holidays and reflect,” said Pastor Dave Moul. “Showtimes run every half an hour, starting at 6 p.m., and there will be hot drinks to keep you warm while you watch. Stella’s Coffee House will be open late Friday to serve attendees, as well.”

FBC also invites the community to three Christmas-themed services:

  • Sunday, Dec. 17, 9:15 a.m. and 10:50 a.m. — “Kids’ Christmas Service.” This special Christmas service is geared specifically toward children to help them experience the wonder, joy, and goodness of Jesus’ birth in engaging ways. This service features kid-led worship, interactive Advent time aimed at young children, special music by FBC kids, and more.
  • Sunday, Dec. 24, 9:15 a.m. and 10:50 a.m. — Christmas Celebration Service. This joyous service is one of the biggest and best of the year, filled with carols of the season, special music, and an impactful Christmas message from Pastor Ryan VanderZwaag.
  • Sunday, Dec. 24, 11:30 p.m. — Candlelight Christmas Eve Service. “Slip away from the hustle and bustle of Christmas preparations, turn down the lights, light a candle, and pause and reflect on the wonder and miracle of Emmanuel, God with us.” This acoustic service features hymns and carols, scripture readings, prayer, and the lighting of the Christ Candle in the Advent wreath. At midnight, they ring in a new Christmas with a song and the church bell.

First Baptist is located at 3258 N 72nd Ave, Hart. For more information about any of these events, call (231) 873-2514 or visit gofbchart.org/holiday-events.
