Obituary: Debra Presuhn, 65, of Hart
Our dearest mother, Debra Jean Presuhn, 65, of Hart, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 15, 2023. She was a wonderful mother to her three children; she was always there when we needed her. She was the glue to the family, and had a mother’s love that was unconditional. She will be missed more than she’ll ever have known by her children and grandchildren.
Deb was born May 5, 1958, in Sioux City, Iowa, the daughter of Donald and Donna Gordon.
On January 18, 1985, she married the love of her life, Roger Presuhn of Remsen, Iowa; her beloved husband of 37 years.
The Presuhn family moved to Michigan in 2000.
Deb worked at Hart Public Schools for 10 years as a paraprofessional. She had to retired from school when she ended up with end stage renal failure and had to start dialysis, which she was on for 10 years. The youngest daughter, Elsie, took care of Deb after Roger passed away.
Deb loved spending time with family and playing with her grandchildren, making memories that everyone will cherish. Deb also loved Lake Michigan to go boating, fishing, and watching the sunsets. She also enjoyed cooking and baking with her grandchildren, going to the Silver Lake Sand Dunes, and snowmobiling.
Deb is survived by: her three children; one son, Pat (Amanda) Presuhn of Hart and two daughters, Kayla (John) Sandy of Billings, Mont., and Elsie Presuhn of Hart; five grandchildren, Dakota, Cassie, and Brooklyn Presuhn and Orrin and Kasandra Sandy; and one brother, Rick Gordon.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Roger Presuhn; and her parents, Donald and Donna Gordon.
In accordance with Deb’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
