The following is recent police activity in Oceana County:

Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2023:

• 2:30 p.m., (Michigan State Police), a 25-year-old Hart woman was arrested on an outstanding warrant, Main and State streets, City of Hart.

Friday, Nov. 17, 2023:

• 12:50 a.m., (MSP), a 43-year-old Scottville man was arrested on an outstanding warrant, US 31 near Monroe Road, Weare Township.
• 3:50 p.m., (Oceana County Sheriff’s Office), a 24-year-old Grand Rapids man was cited for driving while license suspended (DWLS), 88th Avenue, Grant Township.
• 10:15 p.m., (OCSO), a 22-year-old Walkerville man was cited for DWLS, South Oceana Drive near Grant Road, Shelby Township.

Saturday, Nov. 18, 2023: 

• 8:44 a.m., (OCSO), fuel pump breakaway, Marathon gas station, West Shelby Road, Shelby Township. A fuel hose broke off at the break point when a motorist apparently forgot to remove the hose from a vehicle after pumping gas.

Sunday, Nov. 19, 2023:

• 3:21 a.m., (OCSO), assault, 7800 block of 92nd Avenue, Grant Township. No arrests.
• 8:05 a.m., (MSP), a 36-year-old Hesperia man was arrested on a warrant and charges of open intoxicants and carrying a concealed weapon, M 20 near 154th Avenue, Ferry Township.
• 9:11 a.m., (OCSO), malicious destruction of property, 4200 block of South 198th Avenue, Newfield Township. A screen door and vinyl siding were damaged, causing $200 in damages.
• 10:02 a.m., (OCSO), attempted car theft, North Michigan Avenue, Village of Shelby. A 2015 Hyundai Elantra was damaged in the attempted theft.
• 9:55 a.m., (OCSO), domestic violence, South State Street, Village of Shelby. No arrests.
• 10:20 p.m., (OCSO), a 43-year-old Pentwater man was arrested on outstanding warrants, 5400 block of West Hammett Road, Pentwater Township.

Total car/deer crashes Nov. 17-19, 2023: MSP: 5; OCSO: 8.
