West Shore Bank to hold Spirit of Giving in November

LUDINGTON — The annual West Shore Bank Spirit of Giving returns this November as “Giving November” to help raise donations for various non-profits spread across the 6 counties they serve.

West Shore Bank will host various fundraising initiatives at different branch locations, along with several in- person events throughout the community to increase participation amongst the community and its staff.

These include:

  • SHRED FOR THE KIDS in Ludington and Scottville, all November – Protect personal information and destroy confidential documents, such as old tax returns, credit card receipts, legal documents, and more in exchange for three to five canned goods items to benefit local food pantries. Donations and canned goods at the Ludington East or Ludington Main branches will benefit Food For The Kids, while donations and canned items at the Scottville branch will benefit Hand 2 Hand.   • CAN DRIVE FOR THE KIDS in Ludington, on Nov. 16 from noon to 4 p.m. – Join the West Shore Bank team at Family Fare, 5539 US Highway 10, Pere Marquette Township, to raise donations and canned goods for Food for the Kids and Hand2Hand. Donations and canned goods at the Ludington East or Ludington Main branches will benefit, while donations and canned items at the Scottville branch will benefit both non-profits. Learn more about this event and items that are in need.VISIT SANTA FOR A CAUSE in Manistee, Nov. 30 from 1 to 4:30 p.m. – Bring canned goods and visit Santa at West Shore Bank’s Manistee South Branch. These canned goods and non- perishable items will go back to Matthew 25:35 Food Pantry to help those this holiday season. Learn more about this event and items that are in need.
  • SUPPORTING FAMILIES in Onekama, all November long – Donate your household items and/or food and non-perishable items to benefit Onekama Schools and/or the Onekama Lion Club. Donations and items will be accepted at West Shore Bank’s Onekama branch. Learn more about this event and items that are in need.
  • FEEDING THE HUNGRY in Manistee, all November long – West Shore Bank is partnering with the Matthew 25:35 Food Pantry and with Manistee Central Catholic School (MCC) to gather food and/or monetary donations. Donations will be accepted at West Shore Bank Manistee Parkdale and South locations, MCC and St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Learn more about this event and items that are in need.
  • SPREAD THE LOVE in Hart, all November – The West Shore Bank Hart Branch is gathering gently used or new winter clothing, non-perishable and canned goods for both the Shelby and Hart High Schools. Donations and items will also be accepted all month long at West Shore Bank’s Hart branch. Learn more about this event and items that are in need.

West Shore Bank is proud to match the community’s donations up to an additional $1,000 in each County to increase the impact within each community.

In addition to these community events, earlier this year West Shore Bank also donated $5,000 as part of its Spirit of Giving to the Community Foundation for Mason County for their fundraising efforts for the grant program that benefitted the Mason County Central School Behavioral Health Telemedicine Program, provided by Corewell Health Foundation.
