The following are trick-or-treating and Halloween events in Oceana and Mason counties:

Saturday, Oct. 28

• Noon to 2 p.m., Halloween Spooktacular, Pentwater Village Green. Costume contests, scavenger hunt and trick or treating at downtown businesses.
• 1 p.m., Halloween party sponsored by Safe Harbor Credit Union, Legacy Plaza, downtown Ludington.
• 2 to 4 p.m., Pumpkins in the Parking Lot, St. John’s Lutheran Church, 209 N. Rowe St., Ludington. Snacks and music.
• 2 to 4 p.m., trick or treating, downtown Ludington.
• 6-8 p.m., trick or treating, Village of New Era.
• 7 to 10 p.m., Harvey’s Haunted Garage, 320 S. Madison Ave., Village of Custer, Mason County.
• 7 to 9 p.m., Third Annual Halloween Trail, presented by Walkerville Student Council, Walkerville cross country course across from 5984 N. 180th Ave., Walkerville. Admission: $8 per person.
• 7:30 to 11:30 p.m., Camp Sauble Cages of Carnage, $15 per person. Fund raiser for Free Soil/Meade Fire Department, Grant Township (Mason County) Fire Department, and Fountain Area Fire Department, 4058 E. Free Soil Rd., Free Soil Township, Mason County. More information here.

Sunday, Oct. 29, 2023:

• Noon to 2 p.m., Monster Boogie book walk and trunk or treat. Mason-Lake-Oceana Great Start Collaborative is hosting the book walk which includes one meal per person from the Lakeside Wiener Wagon. Ludington High School girls basketball teams are hosting the trunk or treat event. Ludington Elementary School, 5771 W. Bryant Rd., Pere Marquette Township, Mason County.
• 1 to 3 p.m., Ludington United Methodist Church Trunk or Treat, 5810 E. Bryant Rd., Pere Marquette Township, Mason County.
• 4-6 p.m., Oceana County Farm Bureau’s Tractors and Treats, Oceana County Fairgrounds, Hart, Oceana County.

Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2023:

• 1:15 p.m., Hart Public Schools Spitler Elementary School Halloween parade, downtown Hart. Elementary students and staff dress in costumes, and the Hart High School Marching Band performs.
• 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., trunk or treat, Our Savior Lutheran Church, 765 W. US 10, Amber Township (Scottville), Mason County.
• 5 to 6:30 p.m., trunk or treat, St. Paul Methodist Church, 3212 W. Kinney Rd., Riverton Township, Mason County.
• 5 to 7 p.m., trick or treating, Village of Pentwater. Donuts and cider with the Pentwater Fire Department before trick or treating hours.
• 5 to 7 p.m., Walkerville Community Trick or Treat Fellowship, Walkerville Wesleyan Church, 144 S. Hamon St., Walkerville, Oceana County.
• 5:30 p.m., drive-through at the Rothbury Community Center, which is next to the Grant Township Fire Station. Goody bags and hot dogs will be distributed.
• 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Free Soil Community Trunk or Treat, sponsored by Free Soil Area Senior Center, Free Soil/Meade Fire Department, Village of Free Soil and Free Soil Township. Free Soil Community Center, 8480 N. Democrat St., Free Soil, Mason County.
• 6 to 7:30 p.m., trunk or treat, First Baptist Church of Hart parking lot, 3258 N. 72nd Ave. Enjoy a warm beverage and a gift from FBC while you wait in line, open-house style, enter via the northwest drive.
• 6 to 8 p.m., trick or treating, City of Scottville.
• 6 to 8 p.m., trick or treating, Village of Pentwater.
• 6 to 8 p.m., trick or treating, Village of Rothbury.
• 6 to 8 p.m., trick or treating, Village of Shelby.
• 6 to 8 p.m., trick or treating, City of Hart.
• 6 to 8 p.m., first-ever Haunted Bus Trunk or Treat, Hesperia High School parking lot.
• 6 to 7 p.m., trick or treating in the halls of Oceana County Medical Care Facility, 701 E. Main St., Hart.
• 6 to 8 p.m., trick or treating, Village of Hesperia.
• 6 to 8 p.m., trunk or treat, Mason County Central Schools, parking lot between upper elementary and middle school.
• 6 to 8 p.m., trick or treating, City of Ludington.
• 6 to 8 p..m., trick or treating, West Shore Family Support, 603 E. Tinkham Ave., Ludington.
• 6 to 9 p.m., Harvey’s Haunted Garage, 320 S. Madison Ave., Village of Custer, Mason County.
• 6 to 8 p.m., trunk or treat, downtown Shelby, sponsored by Shelby downtown businesses, Shelby-Benona Fire Department, Shelby Police Department.
• 6 to 8 p.m., trick or treating, Village of Walkerville, Oceana County. Cocoa, coffee and treats are being offered at village hall and police department.
• 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Tents & Treats, Cornerstone Baptist Church, 121 N. Nelson Rd., Pere Marquette Township, Mason County.
