Hart man accused of sexually assaulting 12-year-old girl

HART — A 33-year-old Hart man faces up to life in prison for three felony counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct.

Ricardo Moreno Barrios, of 2 W. Main St., appeared in Oceana County’s 51st Circuit Court Monday, Oct. 9, for a pretrial hearing. 

Barrios is accused of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl, according to Oceana County Prosecutor Joseph Bizon. The offenses occurred within a time frame of 2020-2023 in Hart. 

Spanish-speaking interpreter Frank Boppel appeared via Zoom video conferencing to translate for Barrios, who is represented by defense attorney Ryan Glanville. 

Barrios is lodged in the Oceana County Jail on a $1,000,000 bond.

A trial is scheduled for Feb 7-9, 2024.
