Tigers gear up for homecoming next week

Tiger Pride is a presentation of Shelby Public Schools in partnership with Oceana County Press.  

SHELBY — The Shelby Tigers are gearing up for a homecoming celebration next week that will be “Out of this World.”

With this year’s theme, “Out of this World,” the freshmen will feature planets; sophomores, stars; juniors, aliens; and seniors, astronauts.

The Shelby High School Student Council will host a week-long spike ball competition; a powderpuff game Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 4; and a pep assembly Friday, Oct. 6. 

The will be a parade in town Friday, Oct. 6, at 5 p.m. before the football game against the Manistee Mariners. The homecoming dance will take place at the high school Saturday from 8-11 p.m.
