Early Childhood Summit takes place this weekend

VICTORY TOWNSHIP — The 2023 Early Childhood Summit will take place this weekend at West Shore Community College. The free event is sponsored by WSCC, West Shore Educational Service District’s Great Start Readiness Program, Great Start Collaborative, Northern Michigan University, Great Start to Quality Resource Centers, and Michigan Association for the Education of Young Children.
The conference takes place Friday, Sept. 29 and Saturday, Sept. 30. It will include speakers Doug Clements and Julie Sarama, authors of “Learning and Teaching Early Math” and Denita Dinger, author of “Let Them Play.”

The event will also include an Early Childhood Professionals Appreciation Night on Friday, Sept. 29 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the WSCC Administrative and Conferenced Building.
