79th District Court sentencings, posted Sept. 1, 2023

HART — The following were sentenced recently in Oceana County’s 79th District Court:
Jacob Joseph Orsette, 32, of 7551 Tucker Lane, Jackson, Michigan, was found guilty Aug. 29 of operating while intoxicated and sentenced to two days suspended jail with credit for two days served; Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); Victim Impact Panel; and $1,155 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).
Erick John Roth, 44, of 2660 E. Loop Rd., Hesperia, pleaded “no contest” Aug. 8 to malicious destruction of property $200-$1,000 and trespassing and was sentenced Aug. 29 to 119 days suspended jail with credit for 119 days served and $426.12 in restitution.
Jacqueline Elaine David, 34, of 6163 E. Loop Rd., Hesperia, was found guilty Aug. 28 of operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to two days suspended jail with credit for two days served; outpatient therapy; and $405 in fines and costs. One count of operating with a high blood alcohol content was dismissed. Conviction reportable to SOS.
Brian Jay Kolk, 48, of 212 Morning Glory Lane, Fremont, was found guilty Aug. 29 of attempted resisting/assaulting/obstructing police and was sentenced to 10 days in jail with credit for seven days served and $525 in fines and costs. One count of resisting/assaulting/obstructing police was dismissed.
Alan Arthur Cole, 34, of 6319 E. Van Buren Rd., Walkerville, was found guilty Aug. 25 of driving while license suspended (DWLS) and was sentenced to $450 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
