‘Midget wrestling’ at the fairgrounds Saturday

HART — The Oceana County Fairgrounds will host “midget wrestling” this Saturday, Aug. 19, at 7 p.m.

Tickets for the Micro Divas Federation event are $12 in advance for bleacher seats; $15 at the gate for bleacher seats; and $40 for ringside tickets.

The carnival midway opens at the fairgrounds Wednesday, Aug. 16, and runs through Saturday, Aug. 19. It closes Sunday, Aug. 20,  and Monday Aug. 21, which is Entry Day at the Oceana County Fair. The 4-H youths will move their animals into the barns Monday.

This year’s Oceana County Fair runs from Aug. 22-26.

The Oceana County Fair is Michigan’s second-longest running fair, celebrating local agriculture for 152 straight years. The state’s longest-running fair is the Lenawee County Fair in Adrian, which has been ongoing for 184 years.
