Rain doesn’t dampen spirits of Pentwater Homecoming sand sculptors

PENTWATER — Scattered storms rolled across Lake Michigan Friday, Aug. 11, but the wet weather didn’t dampen the spirits of participants in the 50th Annual Sand Sculpture Contest at Charles Mears State Park.

The contest is one of many fun events taking place this weekend during Pentwater’s 93rd Annual Homecoming Celebration, including the parade Saturday at 4 p.m.
