51st Circuit Court sentencings, posted Aug. 9, 2023

HART — The following were sentenced recently in Oceana County’s 51st Circuit Court:

Rogers

Cyanna Marie Rogers, of 8878 N. Water Wonderland, Branch, pleaded guilty May 8, 2023 to methamphetamine possession and was sentenced Aug. 7, 2023 to 57 days in jail with credit for 57 days served; one year probation; and $223 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the

Salak

Secretary of State (SOS).

Joseph Michael Salak, of 815 Logan St., SE, Grand Rapids, pleaded guilty Feb. 22, 2021 to fleeing and eluding a police officer and was sentenced Aug. 7, 2023 to 210 days in jail with credit for 179 days served; $7,971.74 in restitution; and $258 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. A second count of fleeing and eluding a police officer and a charge of felony firearm were dismissed.

Karlie Rae Zmrzlik, of 3027 W. Baseline Rd., Shelby, pleaded guilty to welfare fraud — failure to inform and was sentenced Aug. 7, 2023 to one day in jail with credit for one day served; $14,169 in restitution; two years probation; and $658 in fines and costs.

Olivia Rose Parsons, of 4198 Skeels Rd., Holton, pleaded guilty Aug. 7, 2023 to probation violation and was sentenced to 225 days in jail with credit for 213 days served; two years probation; and $398 in fines and costs. Probation stems from a Jan. 10, 2022 conviction of carrying an unlawful weapon.

Christopher Lee Gasparas, of 8776 N. 104th Ave., Pentwater, pleaded guilty May 8, 2023 to assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer and

Parsons

was sentenced Aug. 7, 2023 to five days in jail with credit for five days served; 18 months probation; and $658 in fines and costs.

Paul Brandon-Scott Amos, of 9360 E. Arthur Rd., Hesperia, pleaded “no contest” to malicious destruction of property more than $1,000 and was sentenced Aug. 7, 2023 to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 18 months probation; $500 restitution; and $598 in fines and costs.
