Weekend police news, Aug. 7, 2023

The following is Oceana County Sheriff’s Office activity over the weekend:

Friday, Aug. 4, 2023:

• 11:58 a.m., larceny theft of a yellow and mint colored Margaritaville bicycle with a matching seat and basket, 5300 block of 72nd Avenue, Hart Township. The bike is valued at $100.

Saturday, Aug. 5, 2023:

• 10:50 p.m., felonious assault, 8900 block of East Loop Road, Newfield Township. The suspect allegedly threatened a victim with a handgun. No one was injured. The suspect fled the scene before police arrived. The case is under investigation.

Monday, Aug. 7, 2023:

• 12:10 a.m., a 35-year-old Hart woman was arrested for second-offense operating while intoxicated, assaulting/resisting/obstructing police and open intoxicants, Elbridge Township Cemetery, 136th Avenue and Polk Road, Elbridge Township.
