Recent police activity in Oceana County includes:

Friday, June 16, 2023:

  • 8:29 a.m., (Oceana County Sheriff’s Office), larceny of a trash pump valued at $450 that was removed from a trailer, Lizzie Avenue, Village of Hesperia.

Saturday, June 17, 2023:

  • 1:10 p.m., (OCSO), larceny, 2500 block of West Winston Road, Grant Township. Woodworking tools were delivered by FedEx but not located. The homeowner was not home at the time of delivery, and it is believed the items were stolen.

Monday, June 19, 2023:

  • 1:29 p.m., (OCSO), assault, 4000 block of South Oceana Drive, New Era.

Wednesday, June 21, 2023:

  • 3 p.m., (Michigan State Police), a 60-year-old Walkerville man was cited for operating without insurance, 176th Avenue near Harrison Road, Village of Walkerville.
  • 8:43 p.m., (MSP), suicide, Silver Lake Campground, Golden Township.

Thursday, June 22, 2023:

  • 12:28 p.m., (OCSO), assault, 7000 block of West Fox Road, Golden Township. A 56-year-old Golden Township man is a suspect in a pushing incident. The police report will be turned over to the Oceana County Prosecutor’s Office.
