Police news, June 13, 2023

The following is recent activity of the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office:

Friday, June 9, 2023:

• 9:29 a.m., larceny of gas and gas cans from farm fields, East Lever Road and North 120th Avenue, Elbridge Township. The farmer told police that the neighbor was dismantling vehicles on the edge of the farm field, which may have contaminated his soil.
• 4:10 p.m., assault, 5600 block of South Water Road, Grant Township. The incident is being reviewed by the Oceana County Prosecutor’s Office.
• 11:05 p.m., unlawful driving away of a golf cart, which was recovered, 8300 block of West Hazel Road, Golden Township.

Saturday, June 10, 2023:

• 5:15 p.m., a 20-year-old Ohio man was arrested for operating while intoxicated, Silver Lake Sand Dunes, Golden Township.
