The following is recent police activity in Oceana County:

Saturday, June 3, 2023:

  • 11:35 a.m., (Oceana County Sheriff’s Office), a vape pen was stolen, 7700 block of East Gale Road, Newfield Township.
  • 7:55 p.m., (Michigan State Police), a 42-year-old Mears woman was arrested for operating while intoxicated, North 34th Avenue near Taylor Road, Golden Township.

Wednesday, June 7, 2023:

  • 8:25 a.m., (OCSO), malicious destruction of property, Hamon Street, Village of Walkerville. Siding and a window were damaged from someone doing donuts with a vehicle in a church parking lot. A 33-year-old suspect was identified and located.  
  • 10:12 a.m., (OCSO), breaking and entering, 5600 block of East Buchanan Road, Newfield Township. Additional information is not immediately available.
  • 2 p.m., (OCSO), larceny of credit/debit card that was illegally used, 4200 block East Polk Road, Elbridge Township. A 43-year-old Walkerville man is a suspect.
  • 8:21 p.m., (OCSO), a 40-year-old resident was arrested on outstanding warrants, North Clymer Street, Village of Pentwater.
  • 10:54 p.m., (MSP), a 24-year-old Walkerville woman was cited for operating without insurance, Leavitt Street, Village of Walkerville.
