79th District Court sentencings, May 19, 2023
HART — The following were sentenced recently in Oceana County’s 79th District Court:
- Dakota Michael Follett, of 7524 E. M 20, Hesperia, was found guilty May 16 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); Victim Impact Panel; and $1,055 in fines and costs. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).
- Abisai Guereca, of 480 Fowler St., Shelby, was found guilty May 16 of operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to AHSE; Victim Impact Panel; and $1,180 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
- Jeffrey Scott Peterson, of 6982 Hazel Way, Twin Lake, was found guilty May 16 of operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to 24 days suspended jail with credit for 24 days served; AHSE; Victim Impact Panel; and $1,155 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
- Stephen Andrew Cowan, of 9058 N. Business US 31, Pentwater, pleaded “no contest” May 16 to disturbing the peace and was sentenced to $400 in fines and costs.
- Daniel Todd Prine, of 816 Tyler Rd., Hart, was found guilty May 16 of false pretense less than $200 and was sentenced to $360 in fines, costs and restitution.
- Harry Joesph Rybacki, of 3120 2nd St., Twin Lake, was found guilty May 16 of driving while license suspended (DWLS) and was sentenced to $400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
- Charles Peter Westfall, of 6985 W. Indian Bay Rd., Montague, pleaded “no contest” May 16 to disorderly person — obscene conduct and was sentenced to two days suspended jail with credit for two days served; and $500 in fines and costs.
- Brett Aaron Sanford, of 620 Teal Lane, Traverse City, was found guilty May 16 of larceny by false pretenses and was sentenced to three days suspended jail with credit for three days served; $200 restitution; and $400 in fines and costs. One felony count of larceny in a building was dismissed.
- Brett Michael Parrish, of 1706 W. Decker Rd., Scottville, was found guilty May 16 of operating while impaired and was sentenced to one day suspended jail with credit for one day served; AHSE: Victim Impact Panel; and $1,055 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
- Gerald Ernest Wambaugh III, of 3381 8th St., Muskegon Heights, was found guilty May 16 of operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to one day suspended jail with credit for one day served; AHSE; Victim Impact Panel; and $1,155 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
