Motorcyclist arrested for meth possession, fleeing from police

CRYSTAL TOWNSHIP — A 31-year-old Hart man riding a motorcycle was arrested for fleeing and eluding police, methamphetamine possession and improper license plate on North 144th Avenue Sunday, May 14, shortly after 10 p.m., according to Oceana County Sheriff Craig Mast.

He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.

Friday, May 12, 2023:

  • 9:57 p.m., a 21-year-old Bitely man was arrested for methamphetamine possession and driving without a license, 200th Avenue, Leavitt Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.

Saturday, May 13, 2023:

  • 10:39 p.m., a 31-year-old homeless man was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon — a knife with a brass knuckle attachment — and driving while license suspended (DWLS), North 136th Avenue near Hazel Road, Elbridge Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
  • 11:11 p.m., a 56-year-old New Era man was arrested for aggravated/felonious assault, 8100 block of West Arthur Road, Benona Township. The victim is a 50-year-old Grand Rapids man. The suspect was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.

Sunday, May 14, 2023:

  • 7:53 p.m., a 24-year-old Hesperia man was cited for DWLS and operating without insurance, South 132nd Avenue, Ferry Township.
