One dead following crash in Pentwater

PENTWATER — A 72-year-old Pentwater man died following a two vehicle crash that occurred Saturday afternoon at the intersection of Madison Road and Sixth Street. Emergency personnel were dispatched at 2:49 p.m. 

According to a press release from Pentwater Police Department,  a pickup truck was eastbound on Sixth Street when it crossed the centerline, striking a motorcycle, driven by the 72-year-old Pentwater man, that was traveling westbound. 

The names of the victims have not yet been released. 

Emergency units on scene included Pentwater Police Department, Pentwater Fire Department, Hart Fire Department, Oceana County Sheriff’s Office, Michigan State Police, and Life EMS.
