79th District Court sentencings, posted May 10, 2023

HART — The following were sentenced recently in Oceana County’s 79th District Court:

Matthew Hamilton Gamble, of 4401 W. Tyler Rd., Hart, was found guilty May 9 of operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to 93 days in jail with credit for five days served; one year probation; Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); and $1,500 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS). Charges of second-offense operating while intoxicated and violation of a restricted license were dismissed. “The defendant shall serve 88 days in jail for failure to pay on time, as part of a conditional sentence,” states his court file. “Prior to enforcement of jail time for failing to pay, the court must determine the defendant’s ability to pay.”

Jonathon Robert MClernan, of 5576 S. 148th Ave., Hesperia, was found guilty May 9 of operating with a high blood alcohol content and was sentenced to 182 days suspended jail with credit for two days served; one year probation; and $1,300 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. “Can be imposed 178 days if not in compliance — (must complete) victim impact (program) within six months,” states his court file. One count of failure to report an accident was dismissed.
