Woman found lying in front of sheriff’s office entrance tells deputy she wants to die

HART — A 43-year-old Hart woman was curled up, lying in front of the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office entrance Sunday, April 16, shortly before 9 p.m.

When the deputy approached, the woman said she wanted to die in front of the door so it would be on Oceana County Press, according to the police report. The deputy asked if she needed an ambulance, and the woman said, “No, it would be a bad day for the paramedics.” The woman denied needing medical assistance several times; appeared to be intoxicated; and was yelling loudly, the report states. She stated she was going home to be with her dog.
