Student art show set for May 12 and 13

HART — The Pentwater Arts Council presents the 2023 Oceana County Student Art Show at the Oceana County Council on Aging at 4250 W. Tyler Rd.

The exhibit featuring 2-D and 3-D artwork of K-12 students from Hart, Oceana Christian, Pentwater, Shelby and Walkerville schools, is open to the public Friday, May 12, from 4-7 p.m. and Saturday, May 13, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

A panel of judges will award first, second and third place ribbons in six categories and a “Best in Show” award. The public is invited to cast their votes for the People’s Choice awards. The Pentwater Arts Council will award over $2,000 in prize money to the schools and students.

The event is free, and light refreshments will be available.
