79th District Court sentencings, April 13, 2023

HART — The following were sentenced recently in Oceana County’s 79th District Court:

  • Amanda Lynn Dougherty, of 2325 S. 64th Ave., Shelby, was found guilty April 4 of abandoning/cruelty to animals and was sentenced to $400 in fines and costs.
  • Melyssa-Ann Elvira Rodgers, of 5030 E. Loop Rd., Hesperia, was found guilty April 5 of improper license and was sentenced to $300 in fines and costs. Charges of driving while license suspended (DWLS) and operating without insurance were dismissed. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).
  • Daniel Raymond Fahrlander, of 882 E. Fish Rd., Shelby, was found guilty April 5 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to $300 in fines and costs. One count of operating without insurance was dismissed.
  • Joshua Samuel-Thomas Jenkins, of 5582 S. Sagola Trl., New Era, was found guilty April 4 of disturbing the peace and was sentenced to 90 days in jail with credit for 90 days served. One count of DWLS dismissed.
  • Breehona Arleen Ball, of 5262 Hightower Lake Rd., Hesperia, was found guilty April 4 of malicious destruction of property less than $200 and was sentenced to $599 in fines, costs and restitution. One count of assault and battery was dismissed.
  • Amber Lynn Riedinger, of 32ww Elm St., Shelby, was found guilty April 4 of failure to report an accident and was sentenced to $400 in fines and costs. 
  • Justin Cody Phelps, of 1249 Pennoyer Ave., Grand Haven, was found guilty April 7 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to $350 in fines and costs. One count of operating without insurance was  dismissed.
  • Kiara Kay Tyler, of 744 W. Fillmore Rd., Hart, was found guilty April 7 of DWLS and was sentenced to $525 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
  • Gregory Lee Trevino, of 417 N. State St., Shelby, was found guilty April 7 of DWLS and was sentenced to $465 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
  • Roy James Alltop, of 3241 N. 72nd Ave., Hart, was found guilty April 7 of disturbing the peace and was sentenced to $200 in fines and costs.
  • Caleb Brandon Borkowski, of 6309 S, Oceana Dr., Rothbury, was found guilty April 7 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to $350 in fines and costs. One count of operating without insurance was dismissed.

Dismissals

  • Cody Scott Merrill, of 645 S. 88th Ave., Shelby, malicious destruction of property less than $200 dismissed March 31.
  • Tatania Marie Hill, of 11030 Northland Dr., Big Rapids, larceny less than $200 dismissed March 31.
