Kindergarten round-up set for April 20

Pirate News is a presentation of Hart Public Schools in partnership with Oceana County Press.

HART — “Lil’ Pirates” will receive a free Class of 2036 T-shirt during Kindergarten round-up at Spitler Elementary School, which is set for Thursday, April 20, from 5-7 p.m. in the school gym.

School staff are urging parents not to wait until the last minute to register their children. Packets can be completed the night of the event or may be picked up in advance beginning Monday, April 10, at the Spitler office.

Bring all necessary documents to enroll soon-to-be kindergarteners — certified birth certificate, up-to-date immunization records, proof of residency, photo ID of parent/legal guardian and and proof of vision/hearing screening. This will be the only opportunity to get a free Class of 2036 T-shirt. There will also be a memorable photo opportunity of the student signing their letter of intent to be a Lil’ Pirate. Goody bags will also be given to the new students.

The Spitler Book Bus will be on site, as well as District Health Department #10 and the transportation department. Kindergartners will receive a free book.

If you have questions, contact the Spitler office at 231-873-6237.
