79th District Court sentencings, dismissals

HART — The following were sentenced recently in Oceana County’s 79th District Court:

• Damon Lamonte Morgan, of 548 E. Madison Rd., Hart, was found guilty March 22 of improper license and was sentenced to $375 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).
• Armando Falcon, of 511 S. Union St., Hart, was found guilty March 24 of improper license and was sentenced to $300 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
• Andrew Jacob Southwell, of 249 E. 11th St., Traverse City, was found guilty March 28 of operating without insurance and was sentenced to $400 in fines and costs. One count of driving while license suspended (DWLS) was dismissed.
• Robert Joseph Amstutz, of 356 N. 144th Ave., Hart, was found guilty March 23 of transporting open intoxicants and was sentenced to $375 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of failure to report an accident was dismissed.

Dismissals

• Vaughn Alvin Guild, of Newaygo (street address not listed), one count of DWLS was dismissed March 23. “There is insufficient evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the defendant was given notice of his license suspension,” his court file states.
• Pedro Martin Estrada-Medina, of 3837 Yorkland Dr., Comstock Park, one count of using illegal fishing gear was dismissed March 24.
• Heriberto Resendiz-Hernandez, of 1500 37th St., SW, Wyoming, Michigan, one count of using illegal fishing gear was dismissed March 24.
• Juan Noe Resendiz-Hernandez, (no address listed), one count of attempting to snag a fish was dismissed March 24.
• Santos Flores-Morales, of 523 Hall St., SE, Grand Rapids, one count of attempting to snag a fish was dismissed March 24.
