Hart Township man arrested for catalytic converter theft
HART TOWNSHIP — A 40-year-old Hart Township man was arrested by Oceana County sheriff’s deputies Monday, March 6, around 1:15 p.m. in the 3900 block of West Monroe Road for stealing a catalytic converter, according to Lt. Shane Hasty.
He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.

- 3:30 p.m., (MSP), car/deer crash, Woodrow Road and 16th Avenue, Benona Township.
- 7:25 p.m., (Oceana County Sheriff’s Office), fraud, 1200 block of East White Road, Grant Township. A vulnerable adult used a credit card on Meta Pay (Facebook) and was scammed out of a couple hundred dollars, said Lt. Hasty.
Wednesday, March 8, 2023:
- 8:17 p.m., (MSP), car/deer crash, Polk Road and 56th Avenue, Golden Township.
- 10:13 p.m., (OCSO), charges are pending against a 45-year-old Howard City man who is a suspect in an assault and battery, 3500 block of East Skeels Road, Otto Township.
