Obituary: Sandra Farber, 63, of Ferry Township
Sandra Gail Farber, 63, passed away unexpectedly February 28, 2023, at her home, in Ferry Township. She was born July 5, 1959, the daughter of Jack and Barbara (Harig) Dempkey.
Sandy loved her four girls, grandkids, and great-grandson fiercely. Her unconditional love taught them to love with their whole hearts, and to always be there for each other through the good, bad, and ugly. Her support and love for her clan was unwavering and unshakeable; there were many times Sandra chose to go without in order to make sure her family was taken care of.
Sandy loved to cook, she was known to make her loved ones favorite dish or dessert just to see their excitement, and even trying new recipes anyone would throw her way. She instilled a love of literature and reading in all three of her girls, which has since been passed down to their following generations. She was also an avid fan of the Detroit Tigers baseball team for as long as her girls can remember.
Sandy’s heart was an enormous home for many, but she also had a serious dislike toward ill-witted people that lacked common sense; she was hardly ever a shy woman about it.
Sandy is survived by: her four loving daughters, Katie (Bobby), Barbi (Jeremy), Angie (Rob), and Jodi (Jeffy); grandchildren, Kaitlin (Michael), Calee (RJ), Branden, Chance, Jordan, Maddie, and Alexa; and great-grandson, Junior, who was the apple of her eye; as well as four sisters and one brother.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Barbara (Harig) Dempkey.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m., Saturday, March 11, 2023, at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, King-Hart Chapel, 2370 North 72nd Avenue, Hart.
Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, King-Hart Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
