79th District Court sentencings, Feb. 16, 2023

HART — The following were sentenced recently in Oceana County’s 79th District Court:
Cody Ashton-James Saunders, of 617 W. Arthur Rd., Rothbury, was found guilty Jan. 17 of operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE) and $1,070 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).
Andrew Joseph-Lester Alberts, of 17537 185th Ave., Leroy, Michigan, was found guilty Feb. 7 of operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to AHSE; Victims’ Impact Panel; successful completion of outpatient treatment; and $1,252 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
Dylan Wyatt King, of 2374 S. 16th Ave., Shelby, was found guilty Feb. 7 of assault and battery and was sentenced to three days in jail with credit for three days served; six months probation; and $450 in fines and costs. A second count of assault and battery and one count of driving while license suspended (DWLS) were dismissed.
Lauren Ashley Burrows, of 5293 S. 120th Ave., Rothbury, was found guilty Feb. 9 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to $300 in fines and costs.
Joshua James Hanks, of 7451 W. 4 Mile Rd., Hesperia, was found guilty Feb. 7 of DWLS and was sentenced to $410 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
Ronald Michael Haynes, of 6220 Central Rd., Twin Lake, was found guilty Feb. 7 of malicious destruction of trees, shrubs, crops, grass and was sentenced to $300 in fines and costs.
Dismissal
Robin Bruce Beattie, of 4056 S. 64th Ave., New Era; one count of assault and battery was dismissed Feb. 14.
