Winter weather advisory Thursday and Friday

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Oceana County and several other counties beginning Thursday, Feb. 16, at 7 a.m. until Friday, Feb. 17, at 7 a.m. 

Other counties impacted include: Mason, Lake, Muskegon, Newaygo, Osceola, Clare, Mecosta, Isabella, Montcalm, Gratiot, Ottawa and Kent.

Snow accumulations of 6-8 inches are expected in Oceana County.

“Plan on slippery road conditions,” states NWS. “The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute. Slow down and use caution while traveling.”
