West Shore Bank offering quasquicentennial scholarships
LUDINGTON — In celebration of its quasquicentennial (125 years), West Shore Bank will award approximately 10 $1,250 college scholarships this year. Students who reside within Benzie, Mason, Manistee, Muskegon, Oceana and Grand Traverse counties can now apply for the scholarship here. The scholarship application deadline is April 16, 2023, at 11 p.m. and all applicants will be notified in May on the status of their applications.
West Shore Bank was founded as State Savings Bank of Scottville in a one-story brick building in downtown Scottville by banker Curtis W. McPhail, father of baseball legend Leland “Larry” Stanford McPhail.
